Does anyone use zettelkasten for language learning?

Not exactly, but maybe I should integrate it. I have a lot of flash cards that I've done myself and the research that goes into them is kind of similar.

Like, I decide I need to know more words for vegetables or whatever, make a list of those, and make flash cards. Now I feel it would have been good at those times to also write a note about vegetables (or whatever) in Thai (in my case at the moment).

Do you use paper notes?

No, for now the artifact has just been the flash cards themselves really. Then I have paper notes about other stuff that I study separately, like grammar stuff.

Generally the last couple of years I've not been super ambitious about it, mostly just used the flash cards to maintain my vocabulary, and otherwise just stuff I learn more or less by accident.
